Listen Now: Oscar Mayer’s Full-Time Hotdogger Job. Do you have what it takes?
Oscar Mayer has a job opening… but it’s harder to land than an ivy league education.
If you’re a recent college graduate, looking for work and able to navigate a twenty-seven foot long hot dog, then Oscar Mayer could be your next employer. The Chicago-based company is officially accepting applications for wienermobile drivers, also known as “hotdoggers.”
If accepted, your job would be to drive all across the country acting as a brand spokesperson for oscar mayer. The company wants to hire a total of twelve hotdoggers for a year-long, full time position. But competition is fierce. During last year’s application period, the company received more than seven thousand resumes but hired only twelve.
According to the company, this makes them harder to get than an ivy league university. The job promises a competitive salary, benefits, paid expenses and clothes that let everyone know who you are.
Plus, you would become a mini celebrity and be the face of the company for appearances and interviews. Applications are accepted through the end of January and training starts in june. Better start practicing that theme song.
