The world is going high tech… and your home was quick to convert.

Lights that turn on by themselves, ovens that can preheat before you’re home, just some of the ways homes have changed over the years. So many changes, that some people have forgotten the way things used to be.

So, USA Today put together a list of ten staples that have disappeared from twenty-first century homes. For example, a well-stocked pantry. No need to stock up on groceries or treats for the grandchildren… instead use your favorite app. You can order your favorite feast, holiday treats or morning coffee in less time than it would take to dig up the ingredients and make it yourself.

Another device that’s hard to come by: cable boxes. With smart tv’s and streaming devices more people are cutting the cord. Now you can mix and match your content and find whatever show or movie your heart desires.

For more gadgets and gizmos that have disappeared from your everyday life, check out the original article now. The question is, do you miss them?
