Listen Now: Movies Are Back! These Top Movies To Resume Shooting
Reopening might be rolling back, but it looks like the camera will once again roll on some highly-anticipated movies.
The United Kingdom is lifting its quarantine rules and allowing several Hollywood movies to resume filming. That includes movies such as Mission Impossible 7, the next Jurassic World and Disney’s remake of The Little Mermaid.
A number of movies had already wrapped filming and been in post-production but the pandemic pushed back some schedules. Now most of them are slated for releases next year. Officials in the UK say there will be rules for cast and crew to follow. The productions restarting will only be filmed in England and everyone is restricted to a bubble environment where they will live next to the set and won’t be able to go into the community.
The country’s Culture Secretary says the exemptions were made to revive the British film industry in a safe manner and bring in money. In 2019, movie and television shoots in the UK brought in almost four billion dollars.
So as long as cases don’t spike: Pandemic Blockbuster…take one.
