Listen Now: The Triple Stack: You’ll Love McDonald’s New Breakfast Item

[xyz-ips snippet=”post-thumb-url”]They say bigger is better and McDonald’s is hoping to cash in on the idea.

This is the debut weekend of a new breakfast item at all U.S. McDonald’s locations. It’s called a triple breakfast stack and includes two sausage patties with bacon, two slices of american cheese and an egg. Customers have the choice of slapping all this between a biscuit, McGriddle or McMuffin.

This is the first major change the golden arches has made to its breakfast menu since 2016. That was when the company announced it would offer certain all day breakfast items and add barista-type espresso machines to restaurants.

Despite those changes people are still going elsewhere for the day’s most important meal, with business dropping almost two billion dollars over the past year. The company says competitors such as Starbucks, Taco Bell and Dunkin’ Donuts have increased their hold in the breakfast market.

By adding more menu items, all day offerings, and quality coffee people have a lot more breakfast choices. Now we see if the triple stack brings customers back. Otherwise, there’s always lunch and dinner.
