Lyft's New LookThe ride sharing company Lyft is going for the clean shaven look. When Uber’s number one competitor launched passengers were able to see it coming thanks to the giant, pink, fuzzy mustache attached to the front of cars. Slowly that was edged out for a light up dash accessory dubbed the Š—“glowstache.” Now the company is ditching the facial hair for something a little more high tech. According to Wired the company is introducing a device called Amp; which acts as a two way beacon and is designed to ease make the pickup process a little easier. The device, which looks like a rearview mirror with about 20 LED lightbulbs will be mounted to the car’s dashboard. The device will give off a certain color and once a person orders a ride they can choose to have their cell phone light up in the same color. That way drivers and passengers can use their matching colors to flag each other down or find each other in a crowded area. It’s hard for a company to succeed if its customers literally can’t find them.
