Less Is More

[xyz-ips snippet=”post-thumb-url”]Want to be successful at work; start doing less.

Most people put a lot of effort into their workday, and often go above and beyond their basic job duties. But that doesn’t always equal success or happiness.

According to the job resource site Inc.com, you should actually do less at work to improve your personal standing. And you can start with the top ten things you should stop doing right away.

First up, stop waiting for permission. Sometimes the most well-behaved employees aren’t great at creating results because they’re afraid to stir the pot. It’s not always necessary to wait for the green light to race for the finish line.

Stop entertaining toxic people. Separate yourself from anyone with a history of burning bridges, creating enemies or doing anything unethical. Don’t let yourself or your reputation be hurt by anyone who falls into that category.

Stop dwelling on problems. Instead of dwelling on what went wrong, solve the issue.

For the full list of things you should stop doing immediately, check out the full list on Inc.com. Sometimes less is more.
