Listen Now: School Strike Leads To Laxative Cookie Attack By Ohio Couple
A workers strike impacts a lot of people, but in one case it wasn’t the terms of a contract that drove people over the edge.
Some school employees in Eastern Ohio have been on strike for the past few weeks. They are part of the union that supports jobs such as getting children with special needs or disabilities to and from school safely, crossing guards and custodians… jobs outside the classroom that help children get an education.
But as they work out the terms of their next contract, striking workers are making their case known to the community.
Unfortunately, one couple unhappy with the noise attempted to derail the whole thing. The pair who lived in the area began complaining on facebook about drivers honking in support of the workers. So they took their displeasure a step further and baked cookies for the workers that were laced with laxatives.
Fortunately for the workers, the couple also posted a video on facebook of them mixing the laxatives into the batter. So police were alerted, the cookies were confiscated and no striking workers were harmed.
