Listen Now: Kentucky Fried Firewood: New KFC Campaign A Hit
[xyz-ips snippet=”post-thumb-url”]It’s beginning to smell a lot like chicken.
If you’re spending these winter months curled up next to a roaring fire, KFC wants to get in on the action. The company has introduced an herby, spicy, fried chicken scented fire log.
The five-pound log can burn two and a half to three hours and will fill your house with the scent of the colonel’s secret recipe. The company says it’s made from one hundred percent recycled materials and is the result of countless hours of research and development.
But KFC is warning customers that purchasing the log could have a few side effects. Those include; a craving for fried chicken and attracting bears or neighbors who are hungry.
This isn’t the first time KFC has turned to an unusual method of advertising. Earlier this year the company gave away Colonel Sanders pool floaties, which could hold an entire bucket of fried chicken as well as k-f-c themed clothes and shoes.
Turns out everyone loves chicken, the scented log sold out minutes after its release. Seems a little creativity is good for chicken sales.
