Jeopardy Hacks: Secrets To Success From The New Champ

by | May 3, 2019

[xyz-ips snippet=”post-thumb-url”]Answer: It makes perfect. Question: What is practice?

James Holzhauer has racked up more than a million dollars on Jeopardy and topped the one day record by more than fifty four thousand dollars. On top of that the Las Vegas gambler has the top five one-day scores in the history of a game that has aired since 1984.

So what is his secret to success? James says he studied by reading books aimed at young people that covered a range of topics. On top of that he built a replica of the show’s buzzer that stood in his living room. He even practiced in the shoes he would wear if he made it on the show.

So besides getting comfortable with the format of the show, what’s his secret to bringing in the big money? Holzhauer says his strategy is to begin games by choosing the clues with the highest values. Then whenever he lands on a daily double he will bet everything he has.

An action he drives home by pretending to push all his chips into the pile; and he’s rarely bluffing.
