Listen Now: Instagram’s Highest Paid: You Won’t Believe How Much They Make
Celebrities are increasing their fortunes… by doing the same thing millions of the non-rich do everyday.
Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson made a name for himself in the wrestling ring, then the big screen and now he’s taking over Instagram. Johnson has dethroned Kylie Jenner as the highest paid celebrity on the social media site. According to the marketing site HopperHQ, Johnson can charge advertisers more than one million dollars for a sponsored post.
At the time of this story, Johnson had one hundred and eighty-nine million followers compared to Jenner’s one hundred and eighty-three million. Twenty-two-year-old jenner rakes in about nine hundred and eighty thousand dollars for a sponsored post. HopperHQ began publishing a list of highest-earning stars a few years ago after speaking with celebrities and other internet influencers to determine their payout.
Also on the list of people cashing in on Instagram are Kim Kardashian and pro soccer player Cristiano Ronaldo. The news wraps up a good year for Johnson, who Forbes named Hollywood’s highest paid actor. Although a post on Instagram is a lot easier than making a movie.
