Man’s Best Sleeping Buddy: How Dogs Could Improve Your Sleep

by | Dec 7, 2018

[xyz-ips snippet=”post-thumb-url”]Need a good night’s sleep? Get a dog.

It’s no secret a solid night of shut eye helps you perform better in every aspect of your life. From losing weight to being on your “a-game” at work, people can often tell when you’re dragging a bit. So if you need to sleep better… skip the pills, warm milk and eye masks, just find a furry friend.

According to a study from a college in Buffalo, New York, women who shared a bed with a dog slept better and had stronger feelings of comfort and security. The study looked at nine hundred and sixty two women across the country, all of whom shared a bed with a dog, cat or human.

In addition to security, the people who had a dog also went to bed earlier and woke up earlier allowing them to have a more productive day. Unfortunately, the same could not be said for cats or humans.

So if you want to get healthy or looking to move up the corporate ladder it might be time for a new best friend.
