The price of gas is climbing, so people are getting more creative with their modes of transportation. I’m Brian Banmiller on Business.

A stud farm owner and horse trainer in Germany says when the war in Ukraine began, she started looking at ways to save money. She says since she expected hay harvesting and everything else to get more expensive, she made cuts where she could. So, she traded in her Toyota SUV for a carriage pulled by two horses. Now she travels the three and a half miles from her home to work with the horses. Of course, that has turned what is usually a 15 minute trip into about an hour. But she says it’s worth it. She has calculated she is saving just over $260 a month if she travels by horse every day. And while the site of the horses coming and going is popular with some people, especially children, not everyone is a fan. She says some fellow commuters get annoyed, especially if they can’t get past her fast enough. And then there’s parking. Can’t exactly leave them in a garage. Brian Banmiller, CBS News.
