Hope is On the Horizon
Listen Now: Hope is On the Horizon
We are living through a global pandemic, and while there might be light at the end of the tunnel, we need to help it along. I’m Brian Banmiller on business.
I recently spoke with Rebecca parish, a doctor in the San Francisco bay area. Because of the confusion with the vaccine rollout, she organized an event in her community to get eligible people vaccinated. And while shots are going in arms all across the country, she says we are not quite at the finish line.
“I think the most important thing is there is hope. There really is. And we know that the vaccine is one effective tool. It is not the only effective tool. I still stick to my song and dance of wear your mask, social distance, wash your hands. And we do have more control over our health if we stick to those things than we might realize.”
Millions of people have yet to be vaccinated and that’s just within our own borders. New variants are spreading through the population, and a new team has joined the game. Everyone is tired, but this is a marathon, not a sprint. Brian Banmiller, CBS news.
