Listen Now: Heading To Target, Walmart, or CVS? Better Bring Your Mask
Wearing a mask might not be a federal requirement, but your next shopping trip might need the extra accessory.
Coronavirus cases are surging in many parts of the country as the U.S. continues to set records every passing day. The spike is forcing state governors to roll back reopening and requiring or urging people to wear masks when out in public.
Now, some retailers are enforcing the same rules. Walmart, CVS Pharmacy, Trader Joe;s and Whole Foods are just some companies requiring masks to enter. And it’s not a state-by-state rule, it’s company-wide, so no matter where you live a mask will be required to enter.
For most stores that rule is now in effect with Target set to join them August first. In a statement, Walmart said they were enforcing masks in all Walmart and Sam’s Club locations. It said there are already mandates where sixty five percent of stores are located so it made sense. Other stores say it’s meant to keep employees safe and stores open since most of them are essential.
No shoes, no shirt, no mask, no service.
