It’s the season for celebration? One company is helping employees cope with the morning after.
Holiday parties are happening and while the event might be an affair to remember, the hangover is something you’d rather forget. Now a company in Britain is letting employees book a hangover day if they know they have a big night out on the calendar.
The co-founder of the digital marketing company The Audit Lab says businesses need to start offering outside the box perks to attract employees away from major cities. They wanted to offer something to younger workers who go out during the week for social events.
There are also times when an unplanned event turns into a few more drinks and the company will understand if you need to work from home the next day. The co-founder says as long as they system isn’t abused; they will give employees some freedom to recover from a night out on the town.
And experts say it’s not a bad idea. Positive, healthy places to work make employees work harder and better, and that pays off for everyone.
