Listen Now: Delivery Partners: Doordash Raises Stakes With McDonald’s Partnership
Too lazy or tired to eat out? Now you have a lot more options for getting your meal delivered to your doorstep.
According to The San Francisco Business Times, Doordash, the San-Francisco-based restaurant delivery service, is ready to super size its growth as cutthroat competition continues to heat up.
Doordash has just announced fast food giant McDonald’s as a new delivery partner. That opens up what had been an exclusive agreement McDonald’s had with doordash competitor uber eats. Doordash will begin delivering big macs and french fries to its Houston, Texas-based customers later this month, and based on its success, Doordash may likely expand its partnership with McDonald’s nationwide by the end of the year.
As The San Francisco Business Times reports, the deal comes amid meteoric growth in customer use, restaurant participation and investments in the delivery market. But there is sure to be a food fight breaking out with arch competitors Uber Eats and Grubhub fighting for your food delivery business.
No doubt the McDonald’s deal will rapidly raise the stakes in this growing business.
