Starting a new job is hard, starting a remote-only job is even harder. I’m Brian Banmiller on Business.

Being stuck behind a computer screen makes it hard to get to know your new co-workers and get trained on what your job entails. But it can also give you a chance to shine. To help you in your new virtual job Fast Company has a list of eleven questions you should ask your new employer on the first day of a virtual job. For example, “What does success look like in my role?” this will make sure you are managing expectations of others and have a better idea of what they’re looking for. Or “What should i be able to do by the end of the first month, three months and six months?” Even if your new boss doesn’t come out and say it, they have an idea of how long it should take to get up to speed.
