There’s a rising star in the auto sales industry and chances are it’s also your favorite place to grab a free snack.
Costco says its sale of cars is thriving and it’s all because of a perk it offers that most other car dealerships don’t; fixed prices. The cars are sold through partnerships with more than three thousand dealerships across the country.
So while technically Costco itself isn’t making the sale it uses the program to attract more customers and maintain the interest of current members. And since the deal means fixed prices, anyone interested in buying doesn’t have to deal with the negotiations and hidden costs that usually accompany a car sale.
And they’re happy with the system. More than ninety six percent of members who buy a car through the program gave it high marks for value, service and overall experience. Earlier this week, Costco said it sold more than 500,000 cars. An increase of more than six percent over 2016; a year when sales dropped across the auto industry.
Buying something in bulk you can drive away with.
