Taking a trip? Better make it a good one.
Summer travel might not be a reality if you want to take a European Tour or travel cross-country. But there are some close to home trips you can take. And to make it worthwhile, travel smart.
According to The CDC, this means following rules such as washing your hands, keeping your distance and wearing a mask. If you’re taking a bus or a train, wait for one less that’s crowded. And bring hand sanitizer.
Road trips are safe as long as you know about the public places where you may stop. This includes gas stations, restaurants and bathrooms. Consider packing your own snacks and water and having gloves or disinfecting wipes handy.
Pay with credit cards instead of cash to cut down on your hand-to-hand interactions. If you’re staying in a hotel consider cleaning high-touch areas yourself and get room service instead of visiting the in-hotel restaurants.
Feel free to swim in the pool. Just remember to shower. No one wants to be stuck at home but freedom these days comes with a lot of planning.
