Bullying a Profit
Listen Now: Bullying a Profit
No one deserves to be cyber bullied but for one British teenager his experience is paying off. I’m Brian Banmiller on Business.
When he was twelve-years-old Laurence Moss tried to break into the world of social media influencers. So, he took to youtube making videos of himself. But he quickly became the butt of jokes from people on the other side of the keyboard. So according to entrepreneur dot com he switched things up and turned to Instagram. There he began experimenting with accounts based around everything from memes to cars. Soon he had racked up followers with his talent for drawing people in with content. Now he runs his own marketing agency from his home across the pond. He takes someone’s Instagram page and turns it into a marketing asset. Some clients include athletes and health-food brands. Last year he brought in a five-figure salary. He says it’s hard to get people to take someone so young seriously but his track record speaks for itself and the business continues to grow. Now he’s thanking his former bullies and laughing all the way to the bank. Brian Banmiller, CBS news.
