Automated Health Care

Automated Health CareIn today’s world everything is automated, so why not health care?

Jason Bellet is one of the co-founders of Eko Devices a company that is finding ways to monitor your health from the comfort of your own home. They started Eko while seniors at UC Berkeley with the idea that the stethoscope, a tool used by doctors all over the world should be brought into the 21st century.

Recently they launched a cardiac device that allows you to send your heart sounds straight to your doctor’s computer and avoid going into the office or hospital. Š—“

One of the biggest issues with health care today is we have no way to keep track of patients once they’re sent home from the hospital. The standard of cardiac care today is a scale, weigh yourself every copy of days and tell us if you’re gaining weight which means your cardiac function might be decreasing. We need better ways to monitor cardiac health and patient’s health remotely.”

This recent project took two years to get FDA clearance but is now putting healthy living literally at your fingertips.
