Listen Now: AmazonPine™? Amazon’s New Trees and More For The Holidays

[xyz-ips snippet=”post-thumb-url”]The spirit of the season is going high-tech.

It looks like Amazon is really working to corner the holiday market this year with its new offer. The company plans to sell and ship fresh Christmas trees straight to your door.

Amazon says its supply will include popular varieties such as Douglas Firs and Norfolk Island Pines. They will be bound and shipped in a standard amazon box, and will be eligible for prime shipping.

If you’re worried about freshness, Amazon says the trees will be sent within ten days of being cut down, possibly even sooner and should survive the process just fine. The trees, wreaths and garlands will go on sale in november, Amazon will also offer pre-orders so you can choose a delivery date based on your holiday traditions.

According to Amazon, a seven-foot tree from a North Carolina farm will cost about $115 dollars. Wreaths are listed at fifty, and you can pick up a Poinsettia for twenty five.

With online shopping and grocery delivery you may not need to leave your house for the holiday.
