Managers: Focus on This One Surprising MVP Already On Your Team

by | Apr 5, 2019

[xyz-ips snippet=”post-thumb-url”]Want to better manage your employees? Here’s who you should focus on.

Most companies have a hierarchy when it comes to people who work for them. You have one or two at the top who are the overachievers and give the most effort. Then there is a handful of above average employees you can usually count on.

In the middle is a group of solid team members and at the bottom are those not quite performing to your expectations. But here’s where employers go wrong.

According to Ladders.com, most supervisors and leaders spend too much time and energy on their highest and lowest performers. But the group you should be paying attention to is right smack dab in the middle. These people do their work but rarely hear any words of encouragement and are often overlooked. But consider them the foundation of your team.

When properly encouraged and treated with respect the middle workers will move up to become key players. On the other hand, if ignored and mistreated they will quit and you’ll have no one on the team.
