A Successful Presentation
Listen Now: A Successful Presentation
Launching a new idea, take a cue from the apple tree. I’m Brian Banmiller on Business.
Recently Apple had an event to launch its new products. This is nothing new for the company, cinematic-style events have become the company’s signature way to introduce its products. Of course, the pandemic changed a few things but Apple still managed to pull off events most of its competitors can’t. Now INC.com is taking a look at why that is. Turns out the company follows three simple rules that will make your next launch a hit. First, tell a story. Products aren’t interesting on their own. Instead of talking about the features of your product, tell people why it matters in their lives. Next, don’t dwell. Present your material in a clear, concise way. We live in a world where people look at content in small amounts of time so do the same thing. Cut the things out of your presentation that don’t matter and keep things moving. Finally, use what you have to your advantage. Even if what you have is a Powerpoint and just ten minutes of someone’s time. Brian Banmiller, CBS News.
