Listen Now: A Night With Dracula

A Night With DraculaLooking to up the ante this Halloween? How about a night in Dracula’s castle? On October 31st two people will be allowed to sleep in velvet trimmed coffins in the seclusion of Count Dracula’s crypt, completely alone in the castle. The promotional contest is being run by AirBNB and will mark the first ever overnight guests since the owners were kicked out during Romania’s post World War II communist regime.

The castle was never part of the novel Š—“Dracula” but the man who inspired the story might have set foot there. The castle earned its nickname because of its jagged towers and unwelcoming surroundings. The idea behind Dracula comes from Romania’s 15th century ruler known as Vlad the Impaler. Known for his cruelty he was famous for impaling Turks and thieves on wooden stakes.

The winners of the AirBNB contest will be served a spooky candlelight dinner and be allowed to wander the castle and explore its hidden tunnels and rooms. To find out how to enter click the link below. And don’t forget to pack the garlic.
