2018’s Biggest Marketing Blunders: H&M, Domino’s, and More

When pitching ideas with a small group of people in a conference room almost every idea will sound like a success. But in the world of social media people who might see it in a different light will quickly pick that same idea apart.

So to help companies from making a similar mistake the job resource site Inc.com has put together a list of the seven worst marketing mistakes of the past year.

One of the biggest blunders with many companies had to do with race. The clothing company H&M received backlash for putting an african american boy in a sweatshirt that read quote “coolest monkey in the jungle.”

Estee Lauder took heat for foundation that included more than thirty shades but only a handful were geared towards women with darker skin.

Domino’s Pizza had to dial back an idea to give free pizza to anyone who tattooed its logo on their body.
