World Emoji Day

by | Jul 24, 2018

[xyz-ips snippet=”post-thumb-url”]Apple is celebrating world emoji day by adding more animated characters to your arsenal.

Later this year Apple will add more than seventy new emoji characters to your iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch and Mac. Thanks to a free software update, characters will include even more hair options such as red hair, gray hair, curly hair and a bald head.

There will also be more facial expressions such as a cold face, party face, pleading face and a face with hearts around it. Animal lovers will be happy with new characters that include a kangaroo, peacock, parrot and lobster.

The update will also make it easier for you to describe your latest and greatest meal. Newly designed characters to add to your menu include a mango, lettuce, cupcake and other popular items.

Apple says once you get used to those designs, more will be coming your way. The company also plans to roll out additional sports characters and symbols later this year. Now major companies, such as Subway, are hoping they can be made into an emoji. Might be a good way to advertise.
