Tech Friendly TravelIt’s a long weekend and the summer travel season is in full swing so why not get a little tech savvy when you plan your next trip.

Gone are the days of a travel agent and maps that need to be re-folded. Now when you plan a trip there are endless apps that can help make it one to remember from start to finish. And to help navigate your way through all the apps out there, Travel and Leisure Magazine has put together a list of the 50 new travel apps of the year.

Starting with flying, there’s an app called Freebird which will let you know about any problems with your flight and allow you to rebook on any other airline. Or when it comes to finding a place to stay, there’s ChatnBook which is described as Tinder for hotels which allows hotels that you’ve given a thumbs up, to contact you.

For apps to help track the weather, find things to do and take you on an audio tour click the link below. Just don’t forget to pack your phone.
