Listen Now: Starbucks To Launch Delivery and Other Big Changes in 2019
Starbucks is already working on its new years resolutions and caffeine-loving customers might be interested in a few of them.
For Starbucks, the fiscal year began october first and the company is looking at ways to cut costs, increase profits and better serve customers. USA Today went through their plan and singled out three things customers should know.
First, delivery is coming. Starbucks is currently running a pilot delivery program with Uber Eats in Miami and is now planning to expand it to nearly one-quarter of the company owned U.S. stores by the middle of the year. The delivery service of this larger network will also be done by Uber Eats.
Customers can also expect new drinks to be rolled out. Starbucks says cold drinks are more popular among customers and has been coming up with some new recipes and testing them on analysts and the media.
Finally, expect to find your local Starbucks a lot cleaner; Starbucks wants to free up more time for employees to spend on administrative duties including a deep cleaning of stores and equipment in the new year.
