Brad Inman is an award-winning journalist and publisher, entrepreneur, and thought leader. He’s also the founder of Inman Publishing, a company that focuses on real estate. He says while the market is good and people want to buy, according to Inman, there isn’t much to buy.
I think we need to build more housing. We have a shortage of affordable housing and that’s been a problem in the Bay Area forever and sometimes you want to give up but I don’t think we can.”
But if you’re ready to jump in, Inman says look before you leap:
For homebuyers, think it through very carefully. It’s a very expensive proposition so do your diligence, be well-represented, and take a lot of time to really understand what the market’s doing.”
If you’re on the other side of the deal, now could be your chance to make money:
Sellers, this may be the peak. You never know so you may want to take some money off the table and open up some homes for the people that are frantically looking for houses.”
