Facebook is once again making headlines, but this time people are excited about what the social media giant is doing with their information.
This week was Facebook’s annual F8 Developers Conference, and it marked the first time CEO Mark Zuckerberg gave a major speech since testifying in front of congress. But despite recent glitches by the company, users seem excited for what’s to come.
Some of the biggest takeaways from the conference include Facebook dating. Expected to compete with sites such as Tinder and OkCupid, Facebook dating will allow you to browse potential matches at inside groups or events you both are attending. You will also be able to message each other privately in a different outlet than what’s currently available.
Facebook is also revamping messenger, streamlining the service and making it cleaner and faster. Instagram stories is getting an update. Users will be able to include things such as a clip from your GoPro or link to your favorite song on Spotify. Video calling features are also in the works.
Now as long as they can keep all that information private…
