The McGold Card

[xyz-ips snippet=”post-thumb-url”]The golden arches is offering up a golden ticket.

A contest is underway to help boost the popularity of McDonald’s online ordering system. To enter, all you do is place a mobile order on the company’s app. Email entries will also be accepted and don’t require a purchase.

The promotion is running now through August 24th and at the end one winner will be selected. So what does that person receive? According to McDonalds the winner of the promotion will be awarded the McGold Card which is good for two free meals a week for fifty years.

The prize is valued at $52,000 dollars and while McDonalds hasn’t announced your chance of winning, marketing experts say it’s not good. They say you have a better chance at winning the state lottery. And that’s not all they say tastes bad about the campaign.

Experts say the price of the prize is less than the cost of a corporate christmas party; and awarding just one winner makes the restaurant chain look cheap.

Let’s see how many fast food fans end up buying in.
