Live Water

Live WaterThe Silicon Valley elite have a new obsession; untreated drinking water.

According to the New York Times unfiltered, untreated spring water from the start up Live Water is flying off the shelves at $37 for a two gallon jug. The founder of Live Water says what his company sells expires after a few months, unlike the drinking water that comes out of your faucet. He says if the untreated water sits around too long it will turn green and is considered dead.

Most of us will never see that happen because the water that comes to our home is treated. Some of the people buying the Live Water say they do it for health reasons and don’t want water that has been altered in any way. And if they can’t buy it live they are heading out and taking water straight from the source.

Food safety experts say this is actually the opposite of healthy living because almost everything that can make you sick can be found in water such as E. Coli and Hepatitis A.

Pretty much the opposite of hydrated.
