Late Night CravingsFrustrated with slow service this holiday season? Take matters into your own hands.

Recently Alex Bowen of South Carolina had a hankering for his favorite meal from a waffle house restaurant at two in the morning. But when he arrived he found the restaurant empty and the only employee sound asleep. Bowen says he waited around, making noise, clearing his throat but after about ten minutes it was clear the employee was not going to wake up. So he went behind the counter of the well known 24/7 restaurant and fired up the grill.

Brown says he cooked his meal, a Double Texas Bacon Cheesesteak Melt then cleaned everything up and even scraped the grill. And just to prove the whole thing happened he took pictures of the process to post on his Instagram and Facebook accounts. He even posted a selfie of him paying for the meal.

The company says it’s impressed with Bowen’s cooking skills but customers shouldn’t go behind the counter for safety reasons. But if he’s looking for a job there, he has a pretty solid resume.
