How To Survive Your 9-to-5

by | Sep 7, 2018

[xyz-ips snippet=”post-thumb-url”]Hate your job, but need it to survive? There are ways to make it through the day.

Even if you hate your job, chances are unless you win the lottery you need your paycheck. But the good news is there are ways to turn things around. According to the job research site Ladders.com the first thing to do is identify your role in the situation.

Are you making things worse? Maybe you’re holding a grudge, or not performing at your highest level while expecting others to do so. This means filtering through your own ego and denial. But you might be surprised by what you find.

Next, you should take action. If you’re holding a grudge, forgive that person. Take on a new project to challenge yourself and show your worth to the company and maybe earn a promotion or a raise.

If all else fails start looking at new career opportunities and this is where step three comes in. Do your research; make sure the next place is the right fit, so you can enjoy the job.
