Hidden Treasures

Hidden TreasuresNeed some extra cash? Clean the house.

Most people have things in their closets that they’ve forgotten about, the kids have left behind, or they’re too fond of to say goodbye. But parting with things from years ago could pay off, literally.

According to MSN Lifestyle, there are a number of things in your home that could be worth money. Toys such as Polly Pocket which are selling for $200-$300 on eBay. Other popular childhood items include American Girl Dolls and Heman or GI Joe toys. And with the success of the marvel franchise and movies such as Black Panther, any comic books about these characters are bringing in more than you paid for them.

If you or your son was a member of the Boy Scouts, patches and memorabilia are being auctioned off for over $100. Were you given a china set for your wedding that you never use? Box it up and sell if off. Sets online are often going for hundreds or thousands of dollars depending on condition.

Sometimes nostalgia can pay off.
