Generation Z

by | Dec 25, 2017

Generation ZThe next generation is starting to think about a higher education, by rethinking the whole idea.

Kaytie Zimmerman is founder of Optimistic Millennial, a blog designed to help young adults navigate the obstacles of adulthood. But she found when it comes to the generation coming next; they are making their own rules.

Zimmerman says with technology and a solid internet connection children and teenagers are able to start their own businesses and pull in a salary that tops their parents. Now many of them are deciding their road to success does not necessarily go through a four-year university.

Zimmerman says the younger generation is seeing student loan debt and years of hard work millennials went through only to land a job with a mediocre starting salary. So they’re trying something new and different by starting up their own business or internship. Or they are investing in a trade school and choosing to only focus on their career, whether that be learning how to code or becoming an electrician.

So now maybe their parents can find a few more uses for that college fund.
