Easing Your Tax FearsFor most people tax season is the most frightening time of year. Fortunately, there are a few tricks to get through it.

If you’re like most people tax season can be terrifying. All the paperwork, the massive tax code, the changes to the tax code and the threat of doing something wrong can be overwhelming. But to get you through the middle of April MSN Money has thirty ways to make tax season less scary.

First, don’t let the fear of being audited paralyze you. The IRS audits less than one percent of returns and all of those returns include specific reasons such as owning real estate that increase the chance of an audit. And if you go get audited chances are you will just have to answer a few questions before moving on with your life.

Next up: be prepared. Some accountants or companies will provide you with a checklist of everything you need to bring to make sure all your information is included on your return.
