Disney's Bottom LineThe happiest place on earth is getting a little more magical.

For the first time in more than a decade, attendance is down at 13 out of 14 Disney parks because of rising costs. Bad weather, terrorist fears and overcrowding are also contributing to a drop in the number of people lining up to spend time with mickey and his friends. So at the recent D3 Expo in Anaheim the Walt Disney Company announced major changes designed around Disney characters and movies to bring people back to the parks.

Epcott, built in 1982 will be getting new rides based off of Ratatouille and Guardians of the Galaxy. Anaheim’s Disneyland will be opening Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in 2019. The special area will be dedicated to the galaxy far far away with rides, an interactive hotel and a cafe where popular characters such as BB8 and Chewy are expected to stop by. At the magic kingdom in Orlando, the company is planning a new Tron themed roller coaster and a live entertainment theater for Main Street. Nothing says happiness like a positive cash flow.
