Listen Now: Changes To Chipotle
Chipotle is working to bring back customers; and the former head of Taco Bell is leading the charge.
While both might be popular fast food mexican restaurants Taco Bell and Chipotle share few similarities. One is a late-night hot spot and the other was recently known as a breeding ground for E. Coli. Now the former President of Taco Bell is hoping to change Chipotle’s reputation with menu changes, including new items such as nachos and quesadillas.
And for anyone looking to get a fix earlier in the day the company will be adding a breakfast burrito to its daily lineup. A move that actually boosted Taco Bell’s sales when it began adding breakfast foods a few years ago.
Chipotle will also incorporate a daily happy hour where people can get two-dollar tacos during peak hours and some locations will begin serving alcohol.
But it’s not just the food; the new leadership is also changing its advertising. Once again similar to the Taco Bell strategy, chipotle will target social media and clever catch phrases to hopefully leave a better taste for customers.
