CES 2018

CES 2018That’s a wrap on this year’s Consumer Electronics Show and now we’re left with our wish lists.

While this year’s show featured things we expected such as artificial intelligence, driverless technology and virtual reality, there were also a few surprises.

For example, an electronic watch strap that can be used with various smart watches. When you receive a call it transmits sound vibrations through your hand to your fingertip which you then place on your ear. You can listen through your fingertip and talk, similar to the characters in your favorite spy movies.

And there’s luggage that independently rolls along with you as you make your way through the airport or into your hotel. However you might want to wait for the upgrade, critics were quick to point out that it moved a little slow and had trouble keeping tabs on its owner in a crowded room.

And then there’s the unexpected highlight? The electronic Aflac duck that allows children to project their emotions by inserting various discs into the toy. So if they won’t tell you what’s wrong, perhaps maybe their toys will.
