A Dead Battery
Apple is working to squash the bugs that are eating away at the new operating systems battery life.
After a number of complaints from customers Apple released a statement earlier this week about the battery on the ios5 system. This system was released last month for the newest iPhone, iPad and iTouch devices. This marks the first time the company has responded to the reported problem. The statement says the company has found some problems with the software system and plan to release an update in the next few weeks.
But despite complaints that the battery won’t even last a day people are still snatching up devices that feature the new system. Since its October 4th release more than four million new iPhones have been sold. And they’re about to be released in Asia, Europe and Central America. It will be available in more than seventy countries just in time for the holiday shopping season.
Around the same time Apple hopes to have the battery life problem solved. Analysts say a power drain is inevitable considering all the applications people download. They say Apple needs an operating system to handle the extra data; if only there was an app for that.
