A Disposable Income
It’s not an easy job stimulating our economy, especially if you can’t print the money.
Because of a problem with the printing presses the U.S. government has shut down all production of the brand new $100 bill. And to make matters worse they’ve quarantined another one billion of the bills, about 10% of the entire U.S. cash supply, in a Texas vault. The problem is with the bills high tech security features. The 3D security strip and the color shifting image of a bell was designed to stump any would be counterfeiters. Unfortunately they’ve also stumped the printing presses which can’t seem to handle the new details.
Previous attempts have resulted in some of the bills being creased, leaving a blank space on the paper. To make the situation worse, the flawed bills are mixed in with the correct ones and it will take up to a year to sort them out by machine. Once they have been weeded out; the flawed bills which cost around $120 million dollars to produce will go up in smoke. I guess the government as more disposable income than we thought. Maybe they should just spring a counterfeiter from prison for a little help.
