In case you’re wondering where to get the most bang for your buck when it comes to being transported around you next destination, a new survey has some answers. The website hotels dot com polled more than nineteen hundred people who traveled in May of this year.

And for the third consecutive year London taxis topped the list of several categories including the friendliest and the most knowledgeable. But you will have to shell out some extra cash for these pleasantries; London taxis were also voted the most expensive. New York City taxi cabs came in second overall despite tying with Paris when it came to the rudest drivers. Rounding out the top five were Tokyo, Berlin and Bangkok. Cab drivers in Rome took the worst drivers in the world title and taxis in Sydney fell short in the areas of value, availability and knowledge of the area.

So weigh all your travel options, a taxi can be one of your first experiences in a new city, might as well make it a good one.
