iPad Users Beware
iPad users beware. Apple’s latest gadget has only been on the market a week and security has already been breached.
The device had only been on sale for three days when MuscleNerd had announced he had found a way around Apple’s restrictions. MuscleNerd put his name on the map by hacking into the iPhone. Now after just a day of tinkering he has broken into the iPad. This gave him root access to the iPad and allowed him to install non Apple approved applications. MuscleNerd says he used the same program from when he broke into the iPhone meaning Apple has yet to plug the hole he discovered. iPhone master hacker George Hotz says this is most likely because Apple was eager to get things finished before the launch and some loose ends were missed. The discovery is not expected to affect market sales of the iPad. In fact Apple could get a boost from anyone looking to run the gadget free from Apple’s boundaries. And it may have bigger problems. Hewlett Packard just announced its own device it claims is better than Apple’s iPad. Let the competitive games begin.
