Have you ever wanted to take a bite out of the Great Wall of China? What if it was made of chocolate?

Chinese chocolatier Wang Qilu has built a thirty three foot long replica of the Great Wall entirely out of dark and white chocolate. The creation even features a minature army of five hundred and sixty chocolate Terracotta Warriors standing at attention on a layer of chocolate flakes.

The concotion is for the World Chocolate Exhibition and Trade Show which will open to the public later this month. Up to eighty tons of chocolate went into making all the treats that will be displayed. The show’s General Manager Tina Zheng says she hopes the unusual displays will give chocolate a much needed boost among chinese consumers. Zheng says in the West chocolate is as common as sugar or milk but in China it’s rarely seen. Zheng says China has more than a billion potential consumers and this show might help popularize the sweet treat for both local and foreign manufacturers. A technique that could lead to a boost in the diet and exercise industry.
